A broad range of scientific and engineering problems involve partial differential equations (PDEs) with multiscale features. In addition, these PDEs may also contain uncertain parameters due to limited measurements and inaccurate modeling. The wide span of scales, the high-dimensional nature, and maybe the nonlinearity of these problems poses great challenges in designing efficient numerical methods. The purpose of this mini-symposium is to bring together experts on numerical PDEs, numerical homogenization, and uncertainty qualifications to share recent advances on related topics.
